Labor of Love

I need money, honey.

Up until now, JGIWC has been a labor of love. This blog has given me more than I ever hoped for, but I haven't made a dime.

I need help and ideas about how to make this blog lucrative. For good advice, you will be rewarded! Trust me.

Please leave a comment or email me.

Thank you! I appreciate it more than you know.

hmmm...not great advice...but my advice to you is free, because we are friends...some ideas are:

1) Product Reviews (and contact the companies). This is one of my FAV posts by you...people respect your opinion! Even the monogram swap, I used a great company, and they wanted to get the word out on their products (mine went to Patricia aka Landlocked Mermaid). You could ask them to see if they want to advertise....

2)Are you able to use Google Advertising on this? I thought you could...you get lots of traffic. And have a large following...

Just some quick thoughts...LOVE YOU :)

Hmm. Google Ad Sense might be good (as suggested by Lula Mae). You mention so many great places, clothes companies and restaurant; perhaps e-mail them and share what you have already wrote ans see if they want to form a partnership. Best,Adrienne

Yup, google ad sense...blogger makes it very easy to do so and supposedly make money....maybe you could work with the products you mention so often (esp VV, since they invited you to the blogger thing) to raise money?

Google adsense. Also, I'm not sure about blogher but maybe you could make money on that. Makeup reviews would be great for you too!

I like the idea of taking the relationship you have with VV a step further. And do this with similiar types of merchandisers. could you come up with some ideas and submit a proposal to them.. you have the relationship , it is worth presenting it.. I say go for it. ;) xo

I would do some research and analysis on your readers - how many, how do they find you, how long to they stay, where are they from, etc. You know what their interests are, so pitch some companies that you know and love to do some advertising on your blog. Or, swap ad space for swag.

I would suggest finding people who share your passion and vision to support you. It doesn't always work but it can never hurt to ask. I know some people have suggest going to the companies of product you review which could be fabulous or other small companies that, as stated earlier, share your likes/dislikes, passions, etc. Not much but hope it helps. I understand the $issue. Best of luck.

Check out http://www.shareasale.com/. They have over 2500 merchants who want YOU to help bring people to their products. You have to be approved but worth the try.
