Gold is the new Black

I have to admit that I have not always been keen on gold. I totally blame my Bat Mitzvah; I was gifted so much silver Tiffany that for years I thought it to be the only acceptable means of jewelry. Gold jewelry reentered my life 5 years ago in the form of a Cartier Love bracelet and I haven't looked back since. I've bought a few shimmering pieces lately that I have fallen head over heels for.

I got these Tory Burch Glitter Reva Ballerina Flats and literally can't get enough of them. They're going to come in very handy this holiday season.

I'm loving this Vineyard Vines Coddington Cove Cardigan and have already mentally paired it with half a dozen outfits.

The sequin mesh bell skirt from J. Crew may be my favorite skirt of the season. I snagged it on sale in Boston.

I'm hoping the next gold that enters my life will also be in the form of Cartier jewelry. My birthday is coming up and you can count on a wish list in the form of a blog post, studded with lots of gold wishes. Pun intended.

  1. LOVE that skirt! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for? I may start calling J crew's near me and finding out if it's on sale!

  6. Hee! I'm just the opposite, I only wear silver/platnium. I haven't worn yellow gold in years, although I do like it. I just don't like it on me. I'm officially in love with that J Crew skirt.

  9. I love Tory Burch flats but I just can't wear them. They always rub this bone (that maybe only I have) on the side of my right foot to the point of no return. Your flats look amazing on you but my apparently alien feet will now allow me the pleasure.
