Life is short but sweet for certain

Can you believe I'm off taking this munchkin on college tours? It seems like just yesterday she was five, tapping my shoulder in the wee hours of the morning and tumbling into bed with me after she'd had a bad dream. As I type this, she's sound asleep in the bed next to me, all grown up and ready to fly. Forget about her - I don't know if I'M ready for this!

It's reminded me how precious it all is and how fast we're growing up. I don't want to let a day go by without stopping to remember how damn lucky I am. I want to laugh more, fret less, and live in the moment. I want to celebrate even the smallest successes. I want to savor every kiss. Time is fleeting. Happiness is a choice and I want to choose it every single day.

Wishes for a wonderful weekend, my dear readers.
