Whew. It's been a long few days. In fact, the past few weeks have just felt a bit suffocating. A few things have kept me going (and smiling)...
My 3 minute breakfast. I am a huge advocate of the first meal of the day and since I am always running running running, I need something that's both healthy and easily transportable. Whole wheat English muffin topped with nut butter and granola plus a side of fruit. Can't go wrong. (Confession: I haven't had time recently to buy good nut butter so I've been using a thin spread of Nutella. Whoops!)
I try to make a point of filling my shower and my medicine cabinet with as many organic products as possible. I was excited to discover this new line, Gud, from Burt's Bees. This Orange Petalooza body wash smells incredible. I like a zingy scent in the morning to wake me up and this fits the bill!
I went to a happy hour for the SEAK Foundation on Tuesday night. I really wasn't feeling well but didn't want to skip it altogether, so I figured I'd stay for 30 minutes and a glass of wine. I ended up there for three hours (and ahem, more than a glass of wine). What can I say, the combination of Sauvignon Blanc and the company of many of my favorite SoulCyclers cured all my ailments!
The JDIPC always takes things off my plate and helps me cross things off my to do list, even when I'm not having a hellish week. Thanks, Dad.
What's kept you going this week?
