ReplyDeleteA high-quality, professional outfit and a nice thank-you note will get you very far. You wouldn't believe how many people don't shine their shoes or write thank-you notes!

ReplyDeleteCompletely agree, good manners will take you further than most things in life. Sometimes its not what you ask for, its how you ask it.
Also,showing appreciation, thank you notes, especially are so important, my husband has been interviewing for jobs for close to two years now and i am insisting that he sends a thank you note after each one.
It does not guarantee anything but you never know what will put him over the top for the position.
The perfect outfit for the occasion is a lost art these days. I dont like to be either overdressed or underdressed for anything.
When I go someplace, I do pay close attention to how other women are dressed, if i fit into the norm, i am happy, i dressed appropriately (not standing out like sore thumb).
