July update and August goals

RABBIT RABBIT!

July turned out to be pretty good. I just can't believe that I haven't sent Nana that damn gift yet.

Photo a day was super fun, save for a few I chose not to do. (Upside down? Stranger? Just... no.) I read a book and a half... Argh! Plank for two and a half minutes was over ambitious... maybe 90 seconds for  August. I actually did clean out the bottom of my closet and felt SO much better afterward. Getting back into the swing of yoga and really happy about it. I bought the coupon for the Central Park bike rental; I just haven't ridden the bike yet...

Hmmm... Let's see. A lot of this is fitness is based because I'd REALLY like to be in better shape the next couple of months. I really do want to go to the Frying Pan as summer will come to a close before I know it (I cannot). I need to keep cleaning my apartment so that it's much easier if and when I move. Haven't decided what new thing I'm going to try. Any suggestions?

Happy August!

  1. Great list for August goals, hope you accomplish most of them.

You totally motivated me to create my own list for August, 10 items, hopefully i can stay true to at least 7 of them :)

i ncorporated diet/excercise/book reading goals like you do, but i'm also adding behavioral items, so thats something new you could try:

(example: i am the worst when it comes to stressing and worrying about things i absolutely have no control over - no more!! so not worth my energy)

  2. Trying something new...maybe volunteering at a new organization/charity/agency? My practicum was at a domestic violence agency and they always DESPERATELY need volunteers. Even though my time there is over, I'm still staying on as a volunteer! Some of it I can even do at home! Pick something about which you're passionate, and go for it. They need you! :-)

I forgot to say "rabbit, rabbit" today. Based on my experiences over this year, I now have this weird superstition that leads me to wonder if I actually don't have a BETTER month when I FORGET to say it. Who knows? Heheheh.

My goals for the next 2 1/2 weeks (until school starts) are simple: as much rest, reading, and family as possible.

  3. It won't happen in August, but while you're in here in September you should go to Bar Method with me! I'll try one of your SoulCycle classes the next time I'm in New York...
